Chief minister of Goa, Digambar Kamat, launches 'Gauri' software at the Margao sub-registrar's office

Gauri software will facilitate registration of property papers quickly so that citizens can obtain the documents within 30-40 minutes. Earlier, the same task took 15-20 days.

State registrar V G Salkar told TOI that the software has five modules -- civil registration of marriages, sub-registration of documents such as sale deeds, gift deeds or any transaction pertaining to immoveable property, notarial functions, registration of forms like partnership forms and registration of societies.

Gauri has been built to meet Goa's requirements of coping from old Portuguese records by Pune's CDAC.
